Luminary Night in Needham
The Luminary Stroll has moved into December as a two-day event to be part of the NBA's Blue Tree Lighting and the Merchant's Holiday Stroll. Saturday, come to Needham Center for entertainment, activities, shopping and refreshments. Sunday evening light your luminaries in your neighborhoods. Even if you've purchased before, please buy luminaries as a fundraisor for our community programs.

Participating merchants and restaurants will be offering specials, promotions and offering special fixed price holiday menus! Stop by and check it out 12-8 pm.

Lantern Making, Crafts

Come join the fun! You and your kids can make a Lantern for Needham’s first Lantern Parade. Enjoy music, magic, crafts, games, face painting and so much more! Don’t miss the Needham High School A Capella singers at 3:00 PM

Irish Step Dance

The Greene-O'Leary School of Irish Dancing began 69 years ago in Glasgow, Scotland. Since moving to American, it has attained many awards in regional, national, and world competitions including two first place titles in the All-World Championships.

Rythmic Dreams

Rhythmic Gymnastics is a lyrical combination of ballet, acrobatics, and apparatus handling. These unique performances must be seen!

Magic Show

Boston Magician David Hall's award winning performances are high-energy, full of witty comedy, stunning slight-of-hand and mind-blowing miracles. He has performed for Mic Jagger, the Boston Red Sox and many Fortune 500 companies.

A Cappella Singers

Needham's own Fermata Nowhere singers will perform a popular variety of all-voice numbers before leading the lantern walk.

Lantern Parade

All residents are welcome to join in this celebration of community as we stroll together with light and friendship around town in this first ever Needham Lantern Parade. The parade will begin at Powers Hall and finish at the Blue Tree on the Common. Lanterns and candles/glow-sticks available at Powers Hall before the event.

Blue Tree Lighting

A Needham Tradition for 60 years. Come be part of the last lighting of this grand old tree. The tree will be coming down soon.

Fire Show

A Different Spin returns with more performers and a bigger show. They will impress you with their fire-throwing acrobatics.
